WHAT A BEAUTIFUL, SIMPLE, MAGNIFICENT tribute to the Virgin Mother's visitation. This lady is patrona to hispanic nations and her visit to us is depicted by the 'Lady of Guadalupe'. Hand-painted, fnished in glazed ceramic, and accented with a light. The method and colors represented here suggest early 1940's...this item is in MINT CONDITION... She measures 9-1/4" tall x 6" wide x 3-1/4" deep. The pheasent is holding red roses in his poncho, his hat on his back. He kneels on oneknee in front of 'Our Lady'. She is robed in green and pink with gold accents. Her 'aura' is painted gold on a white ground. there is an angel at her feet. The details on the 'cactus' are applied. The bulb at the foot of the cactus is in working order. (If this is intended for use, I would strongly suggest replacing the wiring...) This is a great vintage piece...and a piece to have a place of honor in your home!
