Guardian ware has long been admired for its strength, wearability, and utility. Having been around, and still desirable today, for roughly 50+ years. It is time tested and highly desirable to this day. The inner diameter of this great piece is 12" and has a depth of 2-1/2" without it's domed lid.

| It has been lovingly used (I tried to capture some scoring on the inside, but could not get the detail to show...there are some vertical marks indicating 'scraping' upward from the bottom.) As you can see at the bottom of the opening photo, there is still a minor amount of residue from it's cooking history...still, none the worse for wear. There is one small chip (I believe this could possibly been a ' blem' that broke) on the rim...Also, there are a few (fabric, paper, I don't know what) inclusions in the glass that appear to be paper...baked right into the glass. Unusual indeed! This piece could be used for cooking a large stew, baking or frying chicken on the stove top, or a casserole-type meal. They are the GREATEST! Just ask someone who owns Guardian Ware. They are the best advertisers of this time-tested cookware. Of course, this item is sold 'as is'. |
