LA MODE ENAMELED & HAND-PAINTED COMPACT~ca35 Back to a more elegant and innocent time...full fluffy sleeves, flowing gowns, hats, hair ornaments...all designed to bedeck mm'lady. The top is ornamented with a radiating spidery design, centered with a lovely round medallion...then, hand-painted swags and flowers on four sides...add that to the fabulous embossed gilt design on the perimeter and scalloped edges...LOVELY!!! This wonderful keepsake of womenly conceit has a smooth dove grey enameled back (some mild wear and discoloration here). Open the compact to an unblemished metal mirror which conceals a rouge pat and puff (La Mode trademark name by hinge in 1/16" letters...impossible for me to photograph!) inside...opposite a loose powder and puff ensemble. This item was used...but, only lovingly so. The stunningly beautiful enamelled and hand-painted front shows no wear. Only the back side had indications of being lifted and then replaced on m'ladys vanity stand. What a great addition to your collection!!!
 

FLORAL SPRAY COMPACT~MELISSA~Made in England! Lovely spray of hand-painted flowers decorate the lid of this beautiful piece. It bears slight scuff marks at the edge of the compact due to improper storage...Otherwise it is in new, unused condition. Measuring 2-3/4" in diameter, with a glued mirror...the mint interior bears the original screen and face puff as they were originally purchased. Buy this snappy little number for your next night out...or, just because you deserve it!
