SAC 3 pc set...Grape Clusters & leaves! Sarah Coventry was made for the masses. However, they by necessity, were those who could afford modestly priced, well-made costume jewelry. No aspiring 1950's 'socialite' could be without at least a few pieces. Well made and designed, manufactured for the long term, SAC is still around today. Ahhhh, the 50's things were soooo well done then. Catch a finer view of this wonderful 3 piece set. The stylized leaves and grape clusters are done in plated silver with a white accent overlay. The leaves on the necklace feature a 'curled' edge not present in the earrings and bracelet. You will note, a sure sign of well made jewelry, that the earrings have perfectly matched opposing designs. Worn grape clusters in, or out, there is no way to confuse the right from the left. Necklace is an ample 16-1/2" maximum and could easily be worn as a choker. Bracelet measures a full 7-1/4" in length. Each of the leaves/clusters is roughly 1" square. Meant to last a lifetime, this set is still around 50 years after the fact...NOW THAT'S QUALITY!

MOSS GREEN 2PC 1950's-60's SET! Lovely combination of facted glass oblong hexagonal beads, luminous oval plastic beads (these bear a resemblance to the sheen in moonstone), brass ball spacers and caps. Can be worn at 16" to 19" with a nice drape on the second strand. Clip earrings, another sign of the 50-60's and the trademark 'Japan', are a perfect compliment to the necklace. Note that your local 'Anchor Woman', as well as the very famous 'Katie Couric' are sporting this style and other retro looks. Get with it!
 

BUTTERFLIES Pin, Hot Pink & Yellow-1968!!! The movie "Butterflies are Free", with Goldie Hawn was a hit smash. Butterflies were an overnight sensation. Butterfly napkins, rings, earrings, pins, fabric abounded. This lovely fella survived God knows, how many concerts, love-in's, or demonstrations. DAZZLING Dbl Str Pearl & Rhinestone Necklace This is a stunning piece. Very well made...Each faux pearl is hand-tied to the next! Very 60's chic~~~clasps in the front (seen left of center @11 o'clock). Five different sized rounds, long oblong and square cut rhinestones, foil backed...50 mini rounds in the lavalier alone! Lavalier is 2-7/8" long x 1-3/4" in width. Barely 16" around the neck. I am not expert in cleaning faux pearls so have omitted that step for lack of knowledge...I would suggest same. This is a very interesting and stunning piece. This style of neck wear is unusual and usually made to withstand years of wear...
 

VENITIAN GLASS 50's Ensemble ~ RED!!!! PRIME EXAMPLE OF the handcrafted quality available in the 1950's, although even then not inexpensive. Double stranded in clear red, hot pink and matte pale purple beads. You may not see, but there is a smatter of yellow and black on the large center beads. There is one little round with light blue, yellow, red, black, white, and gold 'miliflori' type beads near the end of the catch, holding a large tri sided red on red bead. The cubes are clear and red striated glass. There are red crystal beads with an aurora borealis flashing, the large rounds are made of clear, red and gold swirled glass. The large tri sided beads are solid red. The small tri sided beads are clear with red swirls or red with gold and black accents. There are small round pale purple and hot pink matte beads with a dimpled surface and smooth. Spacers are small gold glass beads and brass findings. Quality all the way! But wait, don't forget the lovely rounded glass earrings...pure gold and vibrant red...only in ITALY! They measure 3/4" in diameter. The choker can be worn at 16" to a maximum of 18-1/4"...luckily, as we are not as petite as our 1950 forebearers.
