1036

Delightful 'BABY SHOE'...Pasadena Pottery!!! Only a portion of the original lable remains...showing the second word of the makers name as 'Cal', next line _e__es, and final, ___adena. Bears the earmark of Heidi Schoop, but I cannot say for sure... This little gem appears to have been made in the mid to late 1940's, in my estimation. The details in the mold (folds in the 'shoe', etc.) certainly point to that era. Lovely little 'bootie' with 'lacing' in and out around the 'top' of the boot. A bow tie done in rose and blue (Heidi Schoop liked this color palette) with a boquette of 'posies' in rose and blue, accented with yellow centers and dark rose and blue dots surround the 'eye'. Two shades of green make up the leaf and accents on the stems. this is a charming piece! Measures 3" tall x 4-1/16" long x 1-3/4" wide. This is the type that you must break to access the $$$. A long ago method, since replaced with rubber/plastic/vinyl plugs.

1045

PINK BABY SHOE-USA...1930ish...DELIGHTFUL!!! TOOOOOO CUTE! All over in mold design with details in the style of a child's shoe from the early 1940's made in an early USA Pottery mold. Lace ups through 4 eyelets on each side...Shown partially laced. Rounded toe with 'crushed leather' look at the front. USA incised in mold at the outside of the heel...impossible to show! Entire 'shoe' is done in a rose color~inside and out (also an indicator of age) with the exception of the unglazed bottom. Highlighted are the areas in relief and these show the white color of the original clay. Quite a nice addition to your collection. Measures 3-3/4" long x 1-3/4" wide x 2-1/4" tall.

BABY SHOE...Cheery decoration!!! ca 1930-40 Some chips on the inside of the shoe rim indicate that this little fellow has been around quite a while...the unglazed bottom and it's two bisected halves indicate the possibility of an American Bisque mold. I am only offering a ball park guess on origin of maker. All over decoration is that of a spray of sprigs in green and brown...mulberry colored flowers/buds, green accents for the leaves, and blue 'flower' accents with sienna sprigs. The method of decoration and color technique suggests an even earlier production time. The composition is light and fragile. There are some chips and a smaller indentation in the mold in the front of the shoe...the chips are followed by a hairline extended to the bottom 'lace'. There is another small hairline on the inside of the 'shoe' extending about the same distance. These are indicators of age, as well as accidents! The item has been priced to indicate it's condition.
